The Holiday Rental Market:
February had an average occupancy of 56%, with 3 bedroom apartments performing the best at 64%. February was slightly down on what was expected which was largely as a result of fewer last minute bookings due to bad weather in the area, with rainfall 40% above average for the month.

Azz's Fundraiser Update: A big thank you to the owners of Southbury #6, St Malo & The Parade, who kindly made private donations / donated their property for Azz's Family Fun Day Charity & Auction Fundraiser. It seems as though we have all seen the awful effects of cancer. With a stay valued at $800, Southbury #6 successfully raised $850 for the cause. With a stay valued at $2,000, St Malo was auctioned off for $1,100 with the kind purchaser then allowing them to re-auction is for a further $1,500! Overall the event raised $35,000! Azz attended the fundraiser and was clearly overwhelmed by the generosity of the public. Unfortunately though Azz is getting sicker by the day but is trying to achieve two dreams: marrying his fiancee and travelling to Kakadu. Next Saturday Azz and Keira will be achieving one of his dreams and will finally tie the knot. We wish them the very best & ask that you please support his mother Joyce by grabbing a bite at her cafe, Burger Girls at Avoca Beach.

With 6 sales in the past 5 weeks, the results speak for themselves: investors have definitely returned to the market. With an increasing number of buyers becoming frustrated by not being able to find suitable properties to purchase, now is the time to declare your interest in selling. If you have been considering selling then please let me know! 3 of the sold properties were not actively marketed, instead using a 'soft sell' approach. This approach may be affective in a market that continues to show strength.
